2018 Thanksgiving Drive

Let’s set the table!

It’s a sad fact that, even in this land of plenty, many of our neighbors do not have a happy holiday to look forward to. Almost 1/5 of the kids in our state are in households that are “food insecure”—in other words, their parents must choose between feeding their kids or paying other expenses like rent, utilities, or transportation. And more than 432,000 households of our Connecticut neighbors rely on food stamps.

HAPPY. THANKS. GIVING.

OUR CONTRIBUTIONS CAN MAKE IT ALL POSSIBLE

The Goal: Ensure that everyone in our communities sits down to a bountiful feast on Thanksgiving Day.
The Team:  Liberty Bank, the Liberty Bank Foundation, 41 Rotary Clubs — and YOU!
How It Works: Right after Columbus Day, our Liberty branches and Rotary partners start raising money for Thanksgiving food. Our foundation kicks in an additional 25 cents for every dollar raised — and our Rotary friends distribute the funds to local agencies that give Thanksgiving baskets to families in their towns.

Since we started doing this in 2004, we’ve raised more than $2 million to feed our neighbors on Thanksgiving. Please help us achieve another record-breaking drive in 2018!

See the results of the recordbreaking 2017 drive, and browse our past Thanksgiving Drive photo gallery.

“Our goal is to mobilize communities to make sure there’s turkey on the table for all of our neighbors again this year.  We couldn’t ask for better partners in that effort than our local Rotary Clubs.”
– Chandler Howard, President and CEO, Liberty Bank
