It’s a Thirsty Job, But Someone Has to Do It.

It’s a Thirsty Job, But Someone Has to Do It.

Another Eli Cannon’s Beer Festival is now in the history books, and 2018 was a year to remember. The event, held on August 8 at Eli Cannon’s in Middletown, drew a sold-out crowd of 700 guests anxious to sample local brews and to support the Coalition on Housing and Homelessness. The accountants have spoken and thirsty beer enthusiasts helped raise a record $17,844 to support the creation of affordable housing and the elimination of homelessness in Middlesex County, Meriden and Wallingford.

Thanks to Eli Cannon’s for hosting this crowd-pleaser event. Kudos also to the Liberty Bank volunteers Kaleigh Griffith, Damon Ribera, Bryant Dumais, and (from left to right): Sheraz Bhutta, Angela Priest, Jessica Russo, and Taylor Smith. Coalition Executive Director Ann Faust says, “We have the best volunteers on the planet! We lug brewers’ equipment, greet and card people, empty trash cans, direct parking, and clean up at the end of the night, all with a smile.”
