Beginning July 1, Southeastern Connecticut families transitioning out of homelessness have a new resource to help them find employment: INTERSECT (Integrated Network to Employment and Rehousing of Southeastern Connecticut). An alliance of several local nonprofits, INTERSECT will provide parents with the resources they need to secure employment that will enable them to sustain their housing and avoid returning to homelessness.
Our foundation is proud to have taken the lead in bringing Southeastern CT funders together to provide $35,000 for this new program. These funds will leverage an additional $35,000 from the Melville Charitable Trust, which is also supporting the launch of four similar programs around the state.
