For the last 14 years, Liberty Banker Kim Emmons (right) has been the driving force behind the bank’s annual participation in a golf-themed campaign to benefit Middlesex Health.
Kim, who worked at Middlesex Health for 20 years before joining Liberty, has always maintained that connection. She is a member of the Middlesex Health Community Council, which provides support for the organization’s fundraising campaigns. As far back as 2004, Kim has been supporting Middlesex Hospital’s Hospice & Palliative Care Annual Golf Benefit fundraiser.
Now as a Liberty Banker, she coordinates fundraising efforts in all Middlesex County branches during the month of August where customers can purchase paper golf balls in memory or in honor of loved ones for $1 each. This year’s tally was $1,492.64. Here Kim presents a check to Middlesex Health’s Sarah Moore.
Funds will go towards supporting patients and families who face serious or life-limiting illnesses, helping them manage pain and symptoms, while focusing on emotional and spiritual comfort and supporting them in making important decisions and enhancing their quality of life.
