Over the past year or so, Liberty Bank Foundation has expanded its grant-making to include nonprofits operating in Hartford. On December 5, we treated our latest Hartford-area grantees to lunch and networking at Capital Community College.
Liberty Bank President & CEO Chandler J. Howard hosted the event, telling the group that he is proudest of the foundation’s leadership role in community convening. He added, “That’s what this lunch is about — bringing together people from different backgrounds that might not otherwise have a chance to meet. Hopefully, you’ll make some connections today that may be of use in the future.” One of the grantees, Priya Morganstern from the Pro Bono Partnership, offered a valuable connection — her group’s free business and transactional legal services for Connecticut-based nonprofits.
Check out the great work all these grantees are doing in education and housing!
