Liberty Bankers Heart Helping Everywhere

Another June-long Liberty Lends a Hand campaign has come to a conclusion and the results are terrific. More than one hundred and fifty employees donned their I Heart Helping t-shirts and volunteered almost 900 hours at 18 local nonprofits — hammering, weeding, raking, sawing, planting, and painting. Each bank branch and department also pitched in, collecting over 13,000 items (a record amount) for donation to 60 area nonprofits. Food collections led the list, but plenty of others responded to the needs of animals, children and low-income homeowners. In turn, grateful agencies let us know the value of our work with comments like:

• ‘This is amazing. I am so happy and grateful. The women [living at the facility] are happy with the volunteers and the feeling that someone cares enough to work with them. I could never express my gratitude with the work that was done. Thank you again.’
• ‘Thank you. The amount of work that was done was phenomenal and transforming! We love Liberty and appreciate everything that you do for us. We all had a great day working together.’
• ‘It looks wonderful! Thank you so much to everyone!! I’m amazed by the work! ‘
