Solving Homelessness? We’ve Got an App for That!

Okay, it’s not the kind of app that you upload to your phone but, even so, it will be plenty helpful. That’s because in April and May Liberty Bank will set aside $100 for each mortgage application taken. At the end of that period, voila! Collected funds are transformed into donations to nonprofit housing organizations working to conquer homelessness in our state. So, how do you like those app(les)!

As of 2018, the total donated through the 24-year-old program rose to almost $595,000.

“As new homebuyers celebrate a milestone in their lives and current homeowners refinance, they’re also holding out a helping hand to someone with no home at all. A very satisfying ‘pay it forward’ moment,” said Shirley Theriault, Senior Vice President of Liberty Bank’s Retail Lending group.
