Does Your Nonprofit Need a Hand?

Does Your Nonprofit Need a Hand?

For the second year in a row, Liberty Bank is making a concerted effort in June to encourage all employees to volunteer and/or to contribute goods needed by local nonprofits. Liberty Bank Foundation is managing the effort by connecting nonprofits’ requests for assistance with teams of employees. Need a hand? If you’re a nonprofit that serves the public, we’ll be glad to find helpers for your special project. Please contact Toral Maher at (860) 638-2961.

So far, the bank has agreed to find willing volunteers for projects at: the Middlesex YMCA, High Hopes Therapeutic Riding Center,  Columbus House, Prudence Crandall Center, Habitat for Humanity of Greater New Haven, Boys and Girls Club of Greater Waterbury, the Klingberg Family Center, MARC Community Resources, St. Michael’s Episcopal Church of Naugatuck, Acts 4 Ministry, and the Habitat Restore.

In addition, all 55 branch offices and bank departments will be conducting drives for goods to benefit the nonprofit of its choice, for instance: toiletries for local shelters, nonperishable food, and school supplies for children. If you’d like to contribute, please visit your nearest Liberty Bank branch office to find out what’s needed and how you can assist.

Check back from time to time in June to see photos of our employees volunteering, and in July for the results of this campaign.
